Since the raid against the "peace flotilla" on 31st May 2010, the appeals of the international community in easing the blockade of Gaza is growing. The Israeli government imposed a blockade since the takeover by Hamas in June 2007. It devastated the economy of Gaza and prevented the reconstruction after the war of 2008-2009.
